Hi everyone,

I'm Filippo and I'm very new to freefem, so please be patient with
me....I tryed to modify the example "example1.ff" by adding
"save(vtk, "v.vtk", v, M);" at the end of the file, as
reported at page:
http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/ff3d-users/2007-07/msg00009.html, but,when
excuting "ff3d example1.ff" the compiler
outputs:=========================== Text mode execution
===========================FreeFEM3D computing thread: startedParsing
dataline 47:syntax error, unexpected NAME, expecting file format:
["vtk" unexpected]Have I to recompile the freefem to add the vtk
support?I'm using Debian Etch and the version of freefem downloaded from
repository.Thank you very much for help.Bye bye.Filippo.

Dear Filippo.

Can you please tell which version of ff3d you are using ?
ff3d -v
Also, it would be better if you send your ff3d file.
By the way, it seems that their is a problem with yo mailer: your messages are
quite diffcult to read, can you do something about that?

Best regards,
Stephane.

PS: I let your message bellow so that you can see how it appears.

I think you're right, the problem is in the version I'm using. The vtk
support has been introduced since version >= 1.0pre10.
Yes. You found it.
You need a newer version ff3d.
I modified the internal representation of the email content from html to
simple text, I hope it will work.
This is all right now.

Best regards,
Stéphane.

PS : please reply to the list.
